Write for the magazine

** Seedling magazine is on hiatus until further notice – please don’t submit until we’re back up and running! **

Submissions for the next issue of Seedling magazine are now open! I’ll be accepting them until May 15th.
Here’s the kind of thing I’m looking for – please read it before submitting. The more creative and inspiring, the better. I can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

When you’re ready, pitch your idea to me by emailing bethany@littlegreenseedling.com and I’ll let you know whether I’d like to use it. Include a short 2-3 sentence bio in third person please.

Please submit your final article as a Word or Open Office document. Alternatively, it can be a Google doc. Just don’t paste it into the body of the email please – it makes things difficult!

I’m currently offering a small payment of $15 per article. There’s no word limit, but you won’t be paid extra for longer pieces. Most articles will be edited for flow, grammar and clarity, whilst preserving your unique voice.

Some articles may be reprinted on this website – with full credit to you and a link to your site, of course. If for any reason you don’t want your article reprinted, please mention this in your email.

Consider joining our contributor Facebook group, where you can get updates, ask questions and share ideas with others. You don’t have to have pitched an article to join – you just need to be interested in writing for us at some point.

There’s also a contributor mailing list, if you don’t have Facebook or would prefer to receive updates that way. Sign up below:

I also accept guest posts on the blog – these are not currently paid, but you still get a bio etc.

Photo contributions: Do you have a nature photo from your part of the world? Submit it to our Beautiful Planet section. We unfortunately can’t pay for photos right now – hopefully this will change in future. In the meantime, you’ll get your name next to the photo and a link to your site or social media account. Submission email address is the same as above – please let me know where the photo was taken.

Have fun!
